Although I am not glad to have woken up at 3 AM after falling asleep at 10 PM, I am very happy that the 2016 Republican clown car has metastasized into a Republican clown bus and that the entertainment promised to me by Allah has been delivered in spades so far -- between Palins stream-of-consciousness monologue of mixed metaphors, Pope Ben Carsons declaration that if you insult someones religion you can expect to be poisoned, and Donald Trumps insistence that he would have defeated Barack Obama, I am very pleased with the state of the universe. Charles Cooke of National Review seems to think Palin has only just now devolved into self-parody, though -- one must assume that those of us who realized in August 2008 that she was a parody of herself will never receive an apology from the Charles Cookes of the world, though.
