Although I have been a fan of clinical, total football where individual brilliance doesnt play a key role, I am gripped by a fear. Germans are not emotional, but sometimes just a little bit of emotion can help you cross a hurdle and make you give that little bit extra. Knowing Argentina, they are ready to suddenly up the ante for the final match and give their best, or better than their best, which is the extra bit in form of an emotional quotient. One other thing that can aid Argentina is their belief in God, which is actually a belief in ones own self. In Germany, 55% people are agnostic and atheists, whereas in Argentina, only about 10% fall in that category. You can say belief in God took Brazil nowhere, but this Argentinian side has a brilliant defence. I hope that doesnt turn the tide for the Germans, who are going to play their usual game without emotions, without faith in God. A little bit of third-world jingoism and belief in God can help you in historic moments as these. Am a fan of this German team, but I have a tingling fear the Argentinians are going to win.
