Although I never would have published the cartoons insulting the Prophet Mohammed that in 2005 the Danish general newspaper Jyllands-Posten did nor the similar cartoons that for years the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo did, because I think that insulting someones religion is gratuitous (and Charlie Hebdo insulted all religions), Im proud to live in a country -- unlike most countries in the world -- where publication of Hitlers Mein Kamp, of other racist screed, of anti-Christian, anti-Moslem, anti-Hindu, and anti-anyone tracts are legal to publish, much as I might object to such filth! As François-Marie Arouet, who wrote under the pen name Voltaire said, “I do not agree with what you have to say, but Ill defend to the death your right to say it.” My compliments to Scott Pelley, the true successor to Walter Cronkite, for similar thoughts.
