Although RawTherapee does not have as many features, (whistles and bells) as Lightroom. What it lacks in features it makes up for in quality. RawTherapee is packed with algorithms that produce images that are comparable and in most instances better than Lightroom. This is in every sense of the phrase, a top quality RAW editor - period! If you are shooting in RAW you should be using or at least testing RawTherapee. It is open-source software, that is really easy to use and is ethical in its development and distribution. So you can do what you like with it with no strings attached. For help, read, listen or watch one of the many RawTherapee tutorials available on line. Alternatively, check out the plethora of forums. It is cross platform, so whether you have a Windows, Mac or Linux machine, RawTherapee will work for you. There are not many things in life that are free and even fewer that are any good. This one is not just free and it is excellent too! I strongly suggest giving it a go.
