~Although its a Sunday and a bit late in the day, I couldnt resist offering an abbreviated AstroCast on behalf of my pagan friends who are celebrating todays Winter Solstice. This evening will bring an air of determination and tenacity as the Sol Invictus (The Conquering Sun) exits freewheeling Sagittarius, and enters the productive sign of Capricorn, where our determination will increase in direct proportion to the lengthening of the coming days. And Moon will be the first to greet the returning Hero as he crosses the cusp of Capricorn, ready to relinquish her control of the long darkness in favor of the Suns growing strength, at 20:36, EDT. And then, with that transaction completed, Moon will become New. These three occurrences (Sun entering Capricorn, Moon entering Capricorn, and Moon becoming New) will be particularly auspicious, especially if youre looking to become and remain organized in both your personal and professional life. Any New Moon that occurs at or very near the cusp of a sign brings tremendous opportunity to find success in all things considered to be of that sign. And as this New Moon will be taking place at the cusp of Capricorn, you will be generously offered a Solstice gift of solid determination and a ruthless pursuit of goals, where the image of success will play in a continuous loop in the minds of those who are willing and determined to properly apply themselves. For there is no more time to continue philosophizing or contemplating lofty Sagittarian dreams. Now becomes the time to roll up your sleeves and make your hands dirty with the fertile soil of future prosperity and abundance. As the Sun and New Moon take their place in the stoic and pragmatic tenth house, you can now enjoy the contest and the work that needs to be done in order to achieve your realistic goals. ... Just dont expect to be satisfied with anything less than complete success, because not only does your sense of security lie in your newly rediscovered authoritative manner, but so too, will be the unquenchable need of the Ego to also identify itself as a Conquering Hero.
