Although stores would like you to think that it’s about customer service, it’s not. It’s about greed. It’s about making sure that each company makes a lot of money which they pass on to their stockholders and executives. Who, by the way, are enjoying a quiet Thanksgiving at home with their families. It’s about how they exert manipulation tactics onto their customers by causing them to think without consideration, making them believe that these so-called great deals will evaporate after Friday, convince them that competition and aggression are an admirable trait, and to adopt the mantra “by any means necessary”.
