Although the overwhelming consensus of the scientific community is that climate change is in direct response to the activities of human beings, there are those who steadfastly deny what is staring them in the face. Some are merely deluded and the victims of propaganda issued by monied interests like the Koch Brothers. Others are all for the destruction of the environment, believing that they will be lifted to heaven in the Rapture, leaving the rest of us heathens to deal with the mess. The worst of them, though, are people like the Koch Brothers, who feel they are immune to the ravages that climate change will wreak upon the earth and her people. Those are the people who wield the real power, not the politicians, who are merely pawns in the pockets of the oligarchs who care more for wealth than they do for their own families and certainly more than they care for the average citizen.
