Although theres still a couple of days to go this week has been busy and enjoyable. The usual council committees on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I opened an Office for Womens Aid in First Step Womens Centre which was long overdue. Had an enjoyable interaction with Willowbank Lobby group LARG to talk about issues around the Public Realm scheme and I gave an update on New Mid Ulster Council. An ESA and DLA form brought back reality. I spoke at the launch of the Mid Ulster Biodiversity Plan in Cookstown and was pleased to hear of some progress, 10 years later, on a potential gas network through Dungannon and Omagh. Two photo opportunities around business support and Autism. Bronwyn Mc Gahan and I delivered some Loane House petition leaflets to businesses in Clogher Valley and did some press at this excellent facility. As vice Chairman of SWARD I did the usual monthly meeting with DARD Officers to ensure that we keep focused on our spend and maintain our status of best performing in this context. Similarily I enjoy driving forward the work of the Mid Ulster Statutory Committee although it is time consuming keeping ahead of the large number of workstreams in it.
