Although this is a MIL-SIM team, many members are serving military and enjoy themselves by playing during the weekend. They are MARSOC oriented but in NO case wear any official MARSOC patches nor pretend to be real ones. Mil-Sim has helped guys like me to cope with PTSD by putting me back in firefight situation where I would come back home safe and sound. I was diagnoed with PTSD in 2010 shortly after I came back from Afghanistan due to the 22 ANA and Afghan Nationals I had to take care of as a TCCC operator. I even had kids who died in my arms. So while some will say Mil-Sim is stupid, I strongly suggest you try and understand the Mil-Sim communities. I honestly prefer seeing guys and girls playing outside in a controled Mil-sim event than seeing them sitting in front of their xbox playing Call of Duty while drinking a 2L of coke and eating Pizza Pockets. That being said, I am STRONGLY AGAINST teams who uses tabs and take real SOF unit names. This is a real disrespect even if they pretend its for honoring them. Mil-Sim is a game and its not real life so there is a line to draw to stay within the borders of the game. Why they blur their face? Its because there are Canadian combat Divers and Canadian Infantry Snipers in the team who are still active military. They also have guys who works as prison guards in juvenile detention centers. -JW
