Although we certainly don’t want to think about snow at this time of year I wanted to share some good news that was recently passed at Council. June 9th Burlington City Council approved funding for additional snow clearing services that will be introduced during the 2014 and 2015 winter season. Centennial Bikeway, Beachway and the North Hydro Corridor will now be included as part of the city’s snow clearing program. Snow will be cleared from these areas within 24 hours following the end of a snow storm of up to 30 cm. This will also include plowing of parking lay-bys throughout the city concurrently with roadway y plowing operations. For more information visit burlington.ca/rpm Now back to summer.
