Although we have a good entry for the GRC Open show we need more people to volunteer their dogs for the FREE & ANONYMOUS Glaucoma testing, so perhaps if youve entered you would consider taking part to help the research into this disease ..... Please contact Clive or Peter A.S.A.P as if there are not enough people willing to participate, the FREE session will have to be cancelled as it will not be worth James Oliver attending........ James Oliver at the AHT is doing research into Inherited Glaucoma, it is a painful and blinding disease for which treatment options are often very limited. Most dogs eventually need to have their eyes removed. The AHT is currently conducting a study into the genetics of inherited Glaucoma in a number of Breeds, The Golden Retriever being one of them. The Golden Retriever Club wishes to help to assist in this research and James Oliver will be in attendance at the Open Show on Sunday the 23rd November at The Sports Connextion, Leamington Road, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, near Coventry CV8 3FL. The assessment is completely FREE and ANONYMOUS and we would urge exhibitors attending the show to assist in this research. Please contact Secretary Clive Donahue01270750955 or Show manager Peter Drury 01158499408
