Although we of course are hopeful that we’ll receive continued appropriations, if there is a government shutdown our priority will be to ensure there is minimal impact on its beneficiaries and health care delivery. USAMEDDAC will remain functional. - All inpatient and wounded warrior care activities will continue. - Outpatient care will be provided and appointments will continue. - Appointments already scheduled will not be cancelled and same-day care will continue. - Emergency room will remain open and follow up to existing conditions will be provided. - Elective medical and dental surgeries and procedures will be curtailed unless attending provider assesses threat to life/limb. - Pharmacies, labs, and radiology will continue to provide services to include refill of medications. - Dental services will revert to emergency and sick-call services only. All routine dental care will be suspended. - Military Processing will continue with basic trainee examinations. - Medical appointments will continue to include emergency services.
