Although yesterday was Puppy Mill Awareness Day- our scheduled - TopicsExpress

Although yesterday was Puppy Mill Awareness Day- our scheduled event was rained out... So we postponed until today! (Every day is PMAD for us anyway) . So, in addition to our normal daily protest in front of Dyvigs Pet Shoppe- who knowingly purchases puppies from inhumane puppy mills- we took our message to the busy streets of Ames! Stephani, Karen, Vicki and I (Mindi) stood along side the very busy Duff Ave in Ames and educated about mills. In the short time we were there, we saw over 200 cars pass and all of them slowed to read our signs! So many people honked, waved and gave us a thumbs up! This is definitely something that we will be doing more frequently, as the impact we had on the community was astounding! Our protest today went as it normally does! Sundays are so terribly slow for the store, almost no one goes in. It is sad... If the store would go humane and stop selling puppies, we know hundreds of people that would shop there! Our goal isnt to see a local business close down, we just want to help the dogs trapped in the puppy mills! If you are seeing this post, SHARE IT! And invite your friends to like us at Bailing Out Benji! Every day we are working hard to expose the pet store/ puppy mill connection! And if you are in central Iowa, join us in Ames! We are always happy to have new faces join us- signs are provided!
