Alumni Update: Nathan Paul Kirschner is an appellate attorney with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. He represents the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in litigation before the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, to include briefing and oral advocacy relating to veterans benefits. He is a member, and past Chair, of the Board of the International Practice Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin. He served as a pro bono expert with the American Bar Association’s (ABA) International Legal Resource Center (ILRC) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), along with seven other experts, to support UNDP-Sudan’s work in elections relating to referenda and democratic processes. Additionally, he worked with ABA’s Center for Human Rights and the US Holocaust Memorial Museum when they held a conference on the establishment of an Atrocity Prevention Network. He is a member of the Advisory Council of Public International Law and Policy Group (PILPG).
