Always but especially today, I am grateful for the blessing of an incredible mother. Although it has been five years today since she passed, I continue to see the blessings that have come from the life she lived. Her greatest joy was me and my brother... that is until her grandchildren were born! For some reason this week has been the hardest for me since she left and I realized this morning its because of the stage in life we (her family) are in. I see her joy in: 1. Her 1st grandson Robbie getting married. The two of them had a very special bond and she would have loved seeing how happy Robbie and Amanda are together. 2. Her 1st granddaughter Rochelle and the incredible mother that she is to Ryhlan. I can still see the two of them having tea parties in the backyard in Fremont. As I see Rochelle with Ryhlan, I see the same love that my mom showered on Rochelle and would have overflowed with for Rhylan. She would be so proud of the wonderful mother that Rochelle is. 3. Grandaughter Autumn, her Sunshine Girl who she would spend endless hours with reading story books and playing. She would be proud to watch Autumn excel through her Senior year and blossom into the beautiful young woman with a caring heart that she is. 4. Grandson Tommy... there must just be something about the boys because she had a soft spot for his mischievousness (he loved to make faces in pictures as you can see in one of the photos) and he never ceased to make her smile and laugh. I know she would be proud of the compassionate young man he is as he gets ready to enter high school. She loved everything her grandkids did and loved being a part of their lives. I know she would love all the silly videos Autumn and Tommy AND Robbie and Rochelle love that I just dont get! I wish she was here to experience their lives with them and I am thankful that all 4 of her precious grandchildren had time to know her enough that they still carry her love for them in their hearts. Miss you and love you Mama!
