Always do more. Thats what Ive TRIED to instill in my kids. Exceed expectations. So Ellas class is doing mock elections for City Council, based off of the actual candidates. Each person was to do some online research about the chosen candidates. So, with some persuasion from her dad, Ella wrangled City Council Candidate Francesca Dobbyn to come to our kitchen for an interview. Her homework consisted of 4 questions, (level one questions, Ella explained to me. ) So Ella thought that if shes actually coming to the house, she had better make it worth her while, and scrambled together 4 more questions (Apparently level TWO questions...) .One of which was What will you do if you lose? (insightful question, I thought).... and the other was Even though I cant vote, if a kid COULD vote, why would kids chose YOU? Both were excellent questions, made her dad proud.
