I crossed a tiny, open, hammock island out in some flooded timber today while scouting, couldnt have been 30yds across. surrounded on all sides but 8-12 of water. Just as I came off the other side back into the water I decided I needed a picture there and turned to go back to put my my gopro on the hump. Thats when the turkey hen that had watched me pass by at maybe 15 yards decided to flush! She had watched me slosh thru swamp water for a 100 yds without breaking cover. Nerves of steel! I would have never known she was there!
