Am I a jerk and was I wrong for this? Am I a religious jerk for - TopicsExpress

Am I a jerk and was I wrong for this? Am I a religious jerk for this? Okay so while riding the bus to meet up with The Krusty Krew I had an interesting experience on the bus. I promise this will make you guys laugh. So as I get on the crowded 71 bus I end up going all the way in the back in search of a seat. I find one luckily. After I sit down I notice that there is a man on the bus reading The Bible outloud. Now before I go on I support freedom of religion. I however do not believe on imposing your said religious beliefs or lack of beliefs on others. That being said this with the mix of the heat was getting really annoying. So this man of Haitian descent (only matters because in the heat of the moment his accent was bothering me) proceeded to read his Bible out loud on the bus. The demographic of the bus was mostly older people between their late 30s- 50s. Mostly black. Mostly islanders. I believed what could have been a jewish man, And I think one or two white people I assumed to be Christian. At one point I just got fed up with his reading and decided that I would ask him to stop and if he decided to start an argument that I would totally go toe to toe with him and the whole bus if needed to be for a felt outweighed. It appeared to me it was bothering other riders for a women who got on the bus the same time as I did moved her seat and started talking very loudly to a friend next to her to drown him out. So as I hatched and thought over my plan to ask him to stop, a terrible terrible idea popped into my head, and I grew a grinchy smile on my face. I then waited for any sign of this man getting ready to get off the bus. A stop before he did a younger Indian gentlemen walked onto the bus (20s). So I thought hmmm better audience frame. And a few stops before the Jewish man had gotten off. I assumed he was Jewish because of the levels of irritation I saw in his face plus me stereotyping facial features and stuff(not that he had a big nose or stuff like that but you know). His level of uncomfortable was fed up, but too coy to speak out. So as we get towards the stop before West Orange High School down the street at the bank I notice the man close his Bible. And for a split second I reconsidered my actions, but then he started yelling to everyone to repent for their sins. That was the last straw. At that point I shouted at the top of my long, PRAISE THE DARK LORD SATAN! And any and everyone turned around disturbed as everything. A guy called me an asswhipe. And as the bible reading man got off the bus I turned around and couldnt stop laughing and the Indian guy was crying laughing, but no one else seem to find it funny. I spent ten minutes laughing my ass off. And the women next to me excused herself to sit in another seat lmfao. Was I wrong for doing that lmfao?
