Am I just jaded, or are most mainstream news sources avoiding the Christy Mack story like the plague because what she does for a living isnt likely to garner sympathy for a survivor of severe domestic abuse? It seems to me that, just as the horrible news about Robin Williams is opening wavelengths for discussions about depression and suicide, whats happened to Mack should be doing the same for topics like abuse, violence against women, slut-shaming, etc. Or am I nuts?
