Am I over-reacting?!?! My credit card number was stolen. The credit card company immediately reimbursed the fraudulent charges, closed the old account number and issued me a new number. So far so good.. Then, when I go to my Sirius/XM online account to update the credit card number, I see that they ALREADY have my new number. Apparently there are agreements between some credit companies and some merchants to share this information as a courtesy to the end customer when there are recurring monthly charges. I get that some folks would not want their XM radio service interrupted, but this rubs me the wrong way. I just had fraudulent activity on my account, and now my new number is being shared by someone other than me? Your thoughts?
