Am I overreacting? This morning, I stopped at Eagle Express to mail a letter to Chan. All I was doing was dropping off a pre-stamped envelope. I left my car running with the windows down for Moose & took Nico in with me (tucked up under my arm) because he screeches. There were several customers in the store. The worker took my envelope, weighed it for me and told me I was good to go. I turned to leave & the female owner said (loudly in my opinion) Ummmm excuse me! For future reference, dogs are not allowed in here! Im highly allergic! The best way I can describe the look in her face is loathing & disdain. I said Oh, poodles are hypoallergenic! to which she said, Well the people we lease from do not want dogs in here! Thanks SO much! Which was not meant sincerely but very condescendingly. Well, I know the owners of that building & thats not true at all but thats not the point. I understand that not everyone loves dogs. I get that. I know there are places where dogs arent welcome. I get that too. I guess my objection is the way she treated me- like I was ignorant & Nico was vile. So now, even thought Ive been going there for years, I dont think Ill ever go back & I kind of want to write her a letter. If Im overreacting please tell me.
