Am I the only one who has a lot of trouble focusing in church? I get so irritated at myself when my attention shifts from what Im there for to whats going on around me. I honestly dont know if it has anything to do with my PTSD or not but I truly have a difficult time NOT staying aware of my surroundings; therefore I have a difficult time just being with GOD unless I am in my room... alone! But this morning I felt such a burden being lifted off of me when I read this passage from the Message: Matt. 6:6. I know Hes talking about just being in your secluded space but the verse said: JUST BE THERE AS SIMPLY AND HONESTLY AS YOU CAN MANAGE. So, Hes not asking for nor expecting me to spend my corporate praise & worship time fighting my own shortcomings. He just wants what I can bring. He knows how perfectly flawed I am.... after all, He made me!
