Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? (Galatians 4:16) Truth is oftentimes offensive and divisive. Paul the Apostle knew what it was like to have enemies because of the message he preached. The thing I admire about this great apostle though, is that he never compromised or watered down the message to satisfy the itching ears and those who wanted to hear smooth things preached. Paul was never afraid to rock the boat and stand up and proclaim the Word of God with boldness! He was not even afraid to stand up and rebuke Peter publicly in front of the whole church when he refused to eat/fellowship with the Gentiles. He surely wouldnt be welcome in most churches today to preach I can assure you! Too many churches want a smiley-faced clown like Joel Osteen in the pulpit to tell them how blessed they can be and how they can discover the champion in themselves, but there is so much sin and bondage in their lives that they believe that they can go to church and sing Amazing Grace and then walk out the door and live like Hell all week! The devil is on the rampage in this hour and there is so much deception out there! We need more modern-day Pauls to preach the message without worrying about what people think! If your spirit is right you can accept rebuke and hard preaching without always getting offended and being contentious about it! Peter didnt get mad and bitter at Paul when he rebuked him to his face...and Paul was younger than Peter!! Peter accepted his rebuke because his spirit was right! Its only people who are carnal who always get offended and mad when the man of God preaches hard and without compromise. People who are serious about serving God and being saved wont always be finding fault with the man of God when he preaches straight from the Bible...only rebellious and carnal people will fight against it! Truth hurts and is offensive...its time to get the pacifier out your mouth and stop sucking on the milk bottle and start eating the MEAT of the Word of God!
