Am ashamed when people ask questions like... Do Police and Army buy their uniforms? This question have been flying all over the internet for days now. We are in Nigeria, my dad is a very senior Police officer and am in the force also as a bomb expert, and i can categorically tell any of you that care to know that YES, POLICE AND THE MILITARY BUY THEIR UNIFORMS, BOOTS, infact, Kit themselves from head to toe THEMSELVES. Have any of you wondered why most Police are very dirty? Have any of you ask why the police barracks are unkept? Have any of you wonder why an average military man look tattered with fade and torn camouflage? You only see the police and Military looking sharp and neat around their head quarters, or when they are performing national duties like Independence day celebrations, democracy day, armed force remembrance day, Police day, etc The Police and Military are neglected like a deadly virus. This are people that put their lives in line while protecting the nation and the citizens. Do any of you know that theres no LIFE insurance for the police and military when they die? When they die in battle field, they die for nothing. Have lost colleagues and friends in the troubled North-East. Their families are yet to get a penny from the federal government. Its only a very few lucky forcemen like us that were opportuned to work in good places due to professionalism in our job specifications that can proud of something good from the job. Outside that, theres no pride being a FORCE MAN IN NIGERIA.
