Am i worried about Satan throwing rocks at me? Am I worried that everywhere I go there is some stumbling block to pull me down? Absolutely not. Knowing Jesus gives me the authority over such behaviour, knowing Jesus helps me to recognise it is Satan throwing the rocks and placing the stumbling blocks. Thats why when Satan throws rocks at me or lays malicious traps i remind myself he is doing it because i know Jesus. And heres the wonderful revelation, I stand with the Victor and cannot lose. The Bible says this, Satan, the devil, is the the accuser of the brethren, but we overcome him by the Blood of the Lamb (the Blood shed for you and I by the crucified Christ) and the word of our testimony. My testimony is not just what I was and how I lived before I came to find Jesus loves me so much He gave His life for me, my testimony is what I find He has promised me, as I search the words of that promise written in the pages of His book. I have been redeemed at a price. The asking price was Jesus Blood. Just suppose God was standing at a till, and you wanted something He was selling and you did not have the means to pay, salvation works like this, Life does not come cheap, we all want to live forever but life on earth is just a browse around the shop. To get this eternal life we need to pay by blood because we have been disqualified from eternal life by our sins, from little white lies to premeditated murder. You approach the till and tell God you want life but have no means to pay, but are sorry for being the rebel toward Him, you want another chance to be forgiven and to make an effort to change. He says nothing, but smiles lovingly and reaches into His own pocket and puts the price you cannot afford into the till. And here is the beautiful part - you get to keep the receipt. Your blood will never pay that price, you can never save yourself. Not by religion, tradition, good works, nice attitudes, kicking, screaming, stamping your feet or even recognising there is a God and there is an enemy called Satan. The only price required is the blood of the unblemished, and mankind is nowhere near even close. Then came Jesus Himself, God in the flesh and He suffered the ultimate suffering for you and I, and with His own blood - redeemed me. The price has been paid, and I am thankful for it. Call yourself what you will, live under whatever even banner you feel comfortable in - but I am a child of God who still lives in the body I was born with which has and shows all of its imperfections in behaviour and vulnerability to the elements. I fall, I stumble, I crash and I disappoint people EVERYDAY. But I am standing under the Blood of Gods forgiveness and in every and any way possible my heart cries Abba! Father. Gaining this redemption is easy but only if you break the hardness of your own heart. like a gardener, if he wants to see a beautiful crop of colourful flowers or wheat - anything - before the ground can accept the seed it has to be softened. Soften your heart and just let God save you - right now. Whatever anyone told you of spiritual recovery, if it does not involve the Blood of Jesus alone - what they told you, was - is - and always will be wrong Pray Father in heaven, I come to You as a sinner, I recognise I am lost without You and I need Your help. Forgive me for being away from You, forgive me for all of the sins I have ever committed and have grace and mercy on me, a sinner. I want to accept Jesus Christ into my life, I want my spirit and soul to be covered in the Blood of forgiveness, so that I am accepted by You Lord. Teach Your truth, show me Your way and grant me eternal life in Your kingdom. Never let me go out of Your hands, and in time help me to recognise Your voice in my heart. Thank You God for listening to me, thank You God for saving me - in Jesus name. Amen If you have just prayed that pray. I suggest you go and read the gospel of John first and let the words encourage you of who Jesus is for you. and find a church where there are born again - spirit filled christians. without these helps people always struggle ok.
