Am not proud that i bear a bible name (Ezekiel) and if its possible, i would have changed my name a long time ago, but theres nothing i can do about it now. Am 101% sure my name wouldnt have been Ezekiel if am from a Muslim home maybe my name would have been Muhhamed, Abdul, Yusuf etc . Am also 101% sure my name wouldnt have been Ezekiel if am from any of the African tradition worshippers home maybe my name would have been Ifalade, Ogunwale etc.... The truth is that, i was once a Christian because my parent were, and i would have been a Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist etc if my parent were not Christians. Then, why should i be proud of a religious name given to me by my parents? My parent religion has failed all scientific scrutiny, logic and reason so, why should i defend it and believe in it? Its only a fool that will fail to question his/her belief. I questioned mine, and it failed woefully hence, am a freethinker today who has lived above fear and any emotional blackmail.
