Amajita caretaker coach, Shakes Mashaba, says the Cosafa Under-20 Championship in Lesotho is essential for the development of the game and that the tournament should be given the respect it deserves. Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s game against Seychelles, Mashaba said this youth tournament will provide a high level of soccer. “There has never been easy games in football, it’s always tough. From the South African Football Association we would like thank Cosafa and the organisers as well as the teams that are participating in this tournament,” Mashaba told the official Safa website. “This tournament forms an important part of the development of soccer. I am sure those who will be around will see a high level of soccer. It does not come as easy as that and I would like to see any of the 14 teams here raise their hands and say they are going to win this tournament,” added Mashaba. Amajita will take on Seychelles at Lesotho’s Mafeteng Stadium on Wednesday at 14h00.
