Amal is the real meaning of life and hope from the heart of death, how beautiful she is? What a great honor to carry her. Minutes after her birth in the field hospital in Homs. Zaman Alwasl reporter kept looking at her, he was waiting her to open those wonderful two eyes, and when she hardly manage to open them, I saw the light of hope we are seeking to fulfill one day. In her bright eyes I saw hundreds of photos, scenes and stories and I saw the life I dream of and hope to live in Future. I saw people of Homs and their courage, honor and dignity; I saw their stand and patience against bombing, destruction of displacement. That little angle I hold in my arms, gave hope to all who have seen her as she attracted all by-passer to have a look at her face and wish her long happy life. I woke up from my journey through those two pearls when her father asked me to give her back to him and before leaving he asked me about a name to give to her I replied without thinking “Amal” that means HOPE The father was not surprised from the choice and he commented that I was the fifth person who suggested that name. This is Homs Al-Adiya, that is known of its steadfastness and patience, dignity and pride, Homs that teaches us how to creates hope and life from the heart of death and destruction. This is Amal from Homs... this is Hope.
