Amazing! Finally the U.S. Senate does the right thing. Now its to the House of Representatives, if it is brought up for a vote, it will need a 2/3 majority there, then it will go to the State Legislatures and will need a majority in 3/4ths of them. This was a great victory to restore the right of the people to regulate and limit money in politics, which has been drastically undermined by several Supreme Court decisions over more than 100 years, including Citizens United and Buckley v. Valeo. Will the U.S. House bring it up for a vote, and will they pass this important Amendment? Call your congressman and ask them to support our right to regulate our own elections.
