But there is a better way to altogether prevent such unfortunate situations.. In the above texts Lord Krishna instructs us as to how to avoid sinful reactions. Just giving up our ego we just have to follow the Lords instructions to avoid all kinds of painful situations from which man is suffering. And as the saying goes “Prevention is better than Cure.” And the Lord further very emphatically says, - Bhagavad Gita Chapter 18, text 58 - that if you do not follow MY instructions, you will be lost: If you become conscious of ME, you will pass over all the obstacles of conditioned life by MY grace.
