Amazing day. Definitely one of my all time best. The day started with us heading down the coast of Tasmania. We stopped to collect oysters lifted out of the ocean and we shucked them on board the boat - the most amazing oyster I have ever eaten. Then we continued on to look at salmon farms, then stopped to harvest abolone. Our crew jumped in to the 10 degree water and collected them. The amazing fresh seafood cooked on deck together with live lobster, smoked salmon sashimi, mussels in white wine, sea urchin roe collected fresh form the sea, raspberries and non stop champagne, Tasmanian pinot noir and chardonnay and ciders. We spent the whole day in glorious sunshine, incredible scenery, stuffing ourselves with freshly caught seafood. Just amazing! Saw sea eagles, cormorants, osprey, albatross, seals and even saw the spouting from the blowhole of a humpback whale. Just the most amazing day. Happy birthday Lynne Fellowes and dad. xxxxx
