Amazing day, I feel whole again. Most of the stress level has been removed so I have normal brain waves...LOL...got up this morning, knowing it was going to be a great day. Horses got fed, along with the dogs, and I started to work on some paper work for the courts tomorrow, and right on time pulls in Tabitha Mercer and Lesa Bazemore Myers. Plan was for Tabitha and Allan Wilson to ride Gemi and Picasso today. Well Gemi decided that she wasnt gonna be a good girl, so it was decided that Picassos desensitizing lessons were going to begin today..This would not have been able to be done if not for the skilled riding of Tabitha. :) Picasso needs someone that can handle any PUFF up that he might experience being ridden with another gelding. See, Picasso doesnt like geldings. Our fear is that he will never be able to trail ride go to shows or anything because of his attitude towards other geldings. Tabitha stated that today was the day to start. Allan saddled up Chewy, and off they went. Tabitha said there were only two times that she felt Picassos PUFF come into effect, but with her skills, she changed his mind..Great job Tabitha, and thank you very much. While Tabitha and Allan were desensitizing Picasso, Leas Myers helped me doctor up Yodas boo boo from Picasso. Seems when Picasso is in freedom mode is when he has issues...anyways...Lesa held Yodas lead line while I put my thumbs covered in medicine on his boo boo. He stood there for about twenty minutes very patiently. I then wrapped medical tape around a bandage with medicine on it. Lesa then took Yoda to some grass and stood there and bonded with him for well over an hour. As she was doing that, my son took out Biggin and then Lee Lee each by themselves and walked around for about an hour. Then he went and played with Lil Bit. After a while with that, my son opens up the RV windows and turns on music, so the atmosphere was great.. The whole time that my son was doing this and Lesa was grazing Yoda, I was in the round pen with Lucky, the 3 yr old TB that is so smart..e to find out she LOVES fruit loops. so I have renamed her to Pebbles for Fruity Pebbles...she got saddled today, lounged today, reins thrown all over her head, neck and body, and even learned that the mounting steps will not eat her...I was an inch away of mounting her, but decided she learned enough today...It was a very good morning...So you say...WHAT A GREAT MORNING...but wait there is so much more..At noon, Kevin Cline our dear friend from Indiana, came over, because he was in Florida, and with him, is Jennifer Santerre..We have been FB friends for so long and it was so wonderful to finally meet her in person...After hanging around, laughing chatting and relaxing, Allan goes to pick up our old trailer and loads up Semon NKA Buttons to deliver her to her own little girl. It is always a sad moment when they pull away, but the pictures of Button and her new human little girl tonight, erases that sad, to GLAD...we have given yet another horse the ultimate gift..THEIR OWN HUMAN....God is good...so when Allan gets back the four of us, Kevin, Jennifer, Allan and myself go to RiverRats...Jennifer and I have cat fish, yummy, and Kevin and Allan have pulled pork..and then desert..It was a great time, watching a man dance, and listening to the music sitting on the river...I could not have asked for a better weekend...Good company, my parents, Ev and Vietta Kinloch dinner last night for my dads birthday...good friends, new friends, laughs, and wonderful smell of horses all over....Wahooooooo....God is Good!
