Amazing day under the water. I got to dive three of the best dive - TopicsExpress

Amazing day under the water. I got to dive three of the best dive spots in Komodo Island National Park. The first dive was at the China Shop. Its named that because there are a plethora of delicate corals. The second dive was at Castle Rock. Here the currents are very strong as the whip around Castle Rock which is a large rock formation that rises from the ocean bed to about 5 meters below the oceans surface. The last dive was at Manta Point. Unfortunately, there were no Mantas today, but i did get within 5 meters of a 2.5 meter long white tip reef shark that was resting on the ocean floor. Manta Point is also where the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean meet. The marriage of the two oceans causes real intense currents, which allow for high speed drift diving. Drift diving here is like space walking into the abyss with no jet propulsion pack (see Gravity the movie).
