Amazing how thoughts from long ago collide inside my head. When asked if Centenary College classes and trips to France would continue, the sweet, Centenary spokesperson called radical Muslims a sect. I assume she was using the current definition of sect. My long ago History class delved into our fledgling country and Thomas Jefferson having to deal with the Muslim Barbary Pirates. They captured our ships, folks and even raided coastal cities of Europe to collect slaves. They believed that non-Muslims should convert or be slaves or---die. With all the Muslim countries currently clinging to rather extreme views, perhaps moderate Muslims are the true sect? Its just a thought as I havent actually travelled to Muslim countries to ask for a show of hands. Anybody out there want to do some research by handing out Bibles over there?
