Please considering checking out the exciting things happening with the new non-profit: JuneBugs Mitten Mission on FB celebrating a year of hard work by throwing a packing party on Friday in Boyne City, where 30 plus volunteers are coming together to pack handmade wool sweater mittens along with a childrens book I wrote and illustrated in memory of my grandmother June, over the last year. These mitten/book bundles are being given away to children facing all sorts of adversities by way of 12 different non-profit & charity locations in these five counties Antrim, Kalkaska, Otsego, Emmett & Charlevoix. People from all over Nothern Michigan ( and many beyond) have worked over the last year making over 350 mittens. With our fundraising efforts and a 1000.00 donation from Linn Energy we were able to print 1000 books! The general public can also purchase the book Warm Hands, Bright HEart with 100% sales going to support the continued efforts of JBMM! We would love to have you at the party, or to speak with you more about the mission! We have had some amazing response and we know God is going to bless us with more materials, more volunteers and ultimately more children lives touched! Additionally we are currently hosting a 5-county wide mitten decorating art contest & essay contest for any child Pre-K through 8th grade.
