Amazing story happened while we were making «Born Free» movie. We went to the White Sea in order to show the huge difference between life of Beluga Whales in the natural enviroment and their «existing» in dolphinariums. But in the very beginning we were told that White Whales do not contact humans in the open sea. However apparently Belugas somehow understood that we wish to protect them from dolphinariums. Finally they came close to us and worked with us like real team members. They swam and interacted for hours with our film co-author and freediver Tatiana Beley, and posed for her camera. Unique experiment was successful in spite of extreme shooting conditions and bad visibility underwater. It made a big impression on biologists as well - this is for the first time ever when Beluga Whales contact humans in the wild nature. Before that all the contacts took place in captivity only. You will see this cooperation in our movie soon. However some moments we can share with you already now.
