Amazon/Amazon.co.uk review by Mr. Alan Hardy for The Olde Code: This book retells Arthurian myth and legend succinctly and imaginatively, with different episodes from that canon told from the alternating viewpoints of Arthur, Merlin or Gawain. All the ingredients of those tales are present (Excalibur, Lady of the Lake, Camelot, Guinevere and Lancelot, the Holy Grail, the Round Table, the white stag and so on), as well as the atmospheric context of swirling mist, glades and dense, mysterious forests. The episodes lovingly and evocatively detailed here illustrate the pull such legends still exercise upon the collective imagination of present generations. The enthusiasm the writers of this book feel for that magical dream-world of knights and their mythical feats, and the chivalric code they held to, can be recognized in each story, illustration and even line of verse. The book is a loving eulogy to the world of Camelot, and its enduring spell.
