::Ambassador Appreciation Monday:: Topping off our last AAM is our extremely talented, Jessica Jollie. We got ahold of local yogi Ashley Smart to talk about her experiences in Jessicas classes. -Ashley- Jess teaches me compassion. It’s an area of her life that she is either gifted or has spent the time to work on it, and it’s a part of my life where I have room for growth. She’s absolutely someone that I look up to. She genuinely wants everyone to get better- in whatever form that means: physically, mentally, or emotionally. Jess is an incredible support system, whether it’s being ecstatic that youve hit your first crow pose that you have been working on for years, or sharing the excitement that you had the courage to show up and try. Her confidence within herself is what keeps me coming back. You can tell she strives to be a woman that she, herself can be proud of. It is that reason that I believe she can fully flex into her spiritually given talents without much insecurity on how they are going to be received. It’s very captivating to see a person utilize their gifts. Double J is pretty receptive to what people need. She can play the full spectrum on how to bring out the best in people. Sometimes she tells stories from the “Bizarre Life of Jessica Jollie” or makes up examples of how certain poses make her feel (and this is where you find the certificate of authenticity). As wild as it can be, none of it is forced. It is all whatever is going on in that sweet mind of hers. But it’s real. And that’s the most encouraging thing of it all- she gives you herself. Once, I was next to a woman that it was her first time and she stepped into a class full of instructors and pretty well-seasoned yogis. Only because I was right next to her, I heard Jess whisper in her ear: “You’re in an advanced class, but please stay because there’s a reason that you’re here. You’re exactly where you need to be.” I love it. There are plenty of times where we have that same intimidated feeling that the woman had, but hopefully remember that there’s a reason why we’re there. We’re exactly where we need to be. And go learn from it. #youarelovedhere Jessica Jollie!!!!
