Ambrosia Lounge in Springfield Served Second Cease and Desist Order SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The Ambrosia Lounge in Springfield has been served with another Cease and Desist order by the city for an entertainment event they were promoting for Friday night. According to Jim Leydon with the Mayor’s Office, the city’s Law Department issued a Demand to Cease and Desists in a letter to the business located at 143 Main Street. “This proposed event offers a “mixtape release show/celebration” with a cover charge despite the fact that you possess no entertainment license to conduct such an event,” says Assistant City Solicitor, Stephen Reilly Jr. in the notice to the businesses promoter, Timothy Babbs. This is the second time in the past three months that the city has served Ambrosia Lounge with a Cease and Desist order. “If you want to own and operate an establishment here in Springfield and operate within the law we welcome you with open arms. However, if you continually operate with disregard for local ordinance and state law you will be held accountable,” notes Mayor Domenic Sarno. With Ambrosia Lounge on notice, if they do not comply they could face penalties. A call to the business has not been returned yet.
