Amen. I was a psychology major, I know we need evidence to back things up but I too have evidence fatigue especially when a couple of large problems that we face in our society are screaming out for simple, common-sense fixes. I had to laugh at a recent Durham Public Schools meeting about the racial disparity in the number of out-of-school suspension days experienced by the Black students versus the White, a glaring 17,000+ day difference!!! Even the researcher commissioned to look at the data said that providing students and teachers with social-emotional learning solutions simply made common-sense!
