Amen. Just came off a near week long tour of Massachusetts, New York, Conneticut, and Rhode Island. There was a very blessed message preached before we left and was a great reminder that we, as ambassadors for Christ, are to follow Him and be as the early Church (O how grievous it is that we are so lacking!) preaching the Gospel (and that which must proceed the Gospel: sin, righteousness, and judgment) no matter what may happen and truly have our own lives affected and supernaturally changed through that same glorious Gospel! There was a very blessed message preached at home when we returned and it was a reminder that these Baptists which we were brought to rememberance of (and were so provoked by, with the light that shone through them, which we give glory to God for) were no longer on this earth. Truly, in graveyards are stones of rememberance and how many stories those who have gone before us could tell! But magnificent things were wrought through women and men of God of old, O how glorious was the power of God through them and their ensamples to us! They being dead, yet speak! And what was preached to us was this truth: they were dead long before they were dead. How is it with me? How is it with you? Are you truly dead, O professed believer? Are you crucified with Christ and does He live His life through you now? For God to bear much fruit through you, you must first die. You must be crucified with Christ! I encourage you to be dead long before you are dead! One day men and women will visit your grave and be reminded by that stone of rememberance what a glorious, omnipotent, Sovereign God you served. O how JESUS is infinitely worthy of the perpetual sacrifice of us all! May we not rob Him Who deserves those for whom He died!
