Amendments to the national Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) came into effect on 12 March, 2014 - Does it affect your business?? The Act affects:- * businesses which turnover more than $3 million per annum; * credit reporting bodies or credit providers; * health care providers; * schools and child care centres; * organisations that buy or sell personal information; and * some other entities. The Act does not apply to businesses who turnover less than $3 million per annum, unless you fall into one of the exceptions noted above.
