Ameren Missouri is seeking to have an appellate court decision in a wrongful death lawsuit against the utility company heard by the Missouri Supreme Court in hopes of a modification to the ruling on liability immunity for docks. On June 10, the Missouri Western District Court of Appeals reversed the Morgan County Circuit Court decision dismissing Angela Andersons suit against Ameren over the deaths of her children. The suit alleges that Amerens negligence resulted in the deaths of Alexandra Anderson, 14, and Brayden Anderson, 8, who died while swimming around their familys dock when it released electricity from devices on the dock into the water.
