America. My 4th of July I got my citizenship a while ago now, and I deeply feel American. I care about our nation and our people, I assimilated myself and my family to the customs of my welcoming country. Language, Laws and respect. It was the least I could do. Now having said that, I also wanted to prove The United States that I was worth to be allowed to stay and make this place a better and stronger nation. There is always place for improvement, anywhere around the world. My goal is to have my children been very active in their community, successful and productive toward their country and the world. That is my first responsibility. I will keep working really hard, contribute and make my fellow American proud, and this, till the day I die. I never got a free pass in my life the only time that I felt that I was giving a gift is when I got my papers. I was born and raised in the South of France. Grew up working since I can remember, and always loved to do so. I adore my birth country and all it had to offer during my childhood, the good, the bad and also the ugly. I left feeling like it was not for me, that my hopes and dreams where way to hard to accomplish and that the fruit of my labor where not to the level of the pain I was working. I know now I made the right move and I wanna thank this beautiful Country for letting me thrive and feel good about it. There is no shame of making it in The USA and that is also why I love it here. So, to all of my fellow American, I want to wish You a Happy 4th of July. Love Gilles Marini Official
