America gives 3.5 billion dollars each year to Israel every year. That is how the Israeli army can waste thousands of dollars in tear gas for a single child protesting the occupation of their land as you can see in this picture where hundreds of canisters were fired at only one child. Each tear gas canister costs $25. From 2009 to 2018, the United States is scheduled to give Israel--the largest recipient of U.S. assistance--$30 billion in military aid. In New York this amounts $2,512,380,432.75, which could instead be used for 30,506 affordable houses, 41,705 green jobs trainings, and 74,285 early reading programs.
