America is not a free country because almost every individual has some little bit of law or statism they want (or believe they need). For safety or some other empty reason. Its absolutely disgusting and pathetic, but people will STILL defend their favorite tiny bit of coercive aggression or theft even when it is pointed out to them. All those little bits add up to .... this. Fortunately, you can still be pretty free even in a controlled society, since you choose what to put up with and what to comply with and what to ignore.
