American Christians awoke this morning to the heartening, encouraging and inspiring news: in spite of being told they cannot win, in spite of being misrepresented, lied about and persecuted, in spite of being hounded and told to get out of town, they triumphed and overcame their tormentors and opponents, and won the victors crown! Who am I speaking about? The simple and poor young Pakistani Christian couple who were falsely accused of blasphemy, dragged out of their village home, beaten to death and burned in the village kiln: they shed their martyred blood for their love of Christ and united themselves with his passion and triumph!
