American Horror Story: Season 2: Asylum............................ The premise of the second season marks a departure from that of the series first season, Asylum begins in 1964 at the Briarcliff Mental Institution, following the stories of the patients, doctors and nuns who occupy it, and intercuts with events in the past and present. The season garnered seventeen Prime time Emmy Award nominations, more than any other show. The performances of Jessica Lange, James Cromwell, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, and Lily Rabe were particularly praised, with Cromwell winning the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Again I have to say this is fantastic as the 1st season was, as you just read above it was nominated for 17 Emmies and i see why. In this season there are demons, crazies, a sadistic doctor, mutilated grotesque things that roam the woods, serial killers and alien abductions that all fit in so well with the plot. Pure chilling show. If you like dark shows I highly recommend ya watch both seasons. ynwa.
