American Hospital Dubai showcases medical innovations at Arab Health 2014 The American Hospital Dubai once again played a high profile role as Platinum Sponsor, exhibitor and Congress supporter at Arab Health 2014, supporting the event with a range of conference speakers and moderators. The Hospital showcased some of its ground-breaking innovations in neurosurgery and cardiology and its multidisciplinary capabilities in minimally invasive surgical procedures. The Hospital also hosted several group tours for visitors to the event of the Dubai campus, in support of Dubai’s efforts to promote healthcare tourism. Senior physicians and management from the American Hospital Dubai were involved in three conferences at the Arab Health Congress – the worlds largest CME accredited multi-track medical congress - as moderators and speakers at conference sessions. In addition, Dr. Omar Hallak, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the American Hospital Dubai, chaired the 6th ME Cardiovascular Conference. Dr Nayzak Raoof, Chief Medical Officer at the American Hospital Dubai, comments: “Our physicians played a significant role – presenting innovations and chairing or moderating other sessions - in one of the world’s largest medical congresses. This really is a reflection of the Hospital’s clear standard of attracting only US - or other Western equivalent - board certified physicians, who can provide the most advanced treatment and care for the community we serve.” At Arab Health 2014, the American Hospital Dubai presented its comprehensive range of services and specialist centers, which continue to attract increasing numbers of patients from outside the UAE, with patients from more 20 countries treated at the Hospital every year. 40 per cent of patients treated at the Hospital’s Total Joint Replacement Center in 2011 came from outside the UAE. Mr David Farrick, Acting CEO of the American Hospital Dubai, adds: “Major professional events such as Arab Health create the opportunity to show visitors the quality of our physicians and infrastructure and we were delighted to welcome delegates to the Hospital, as we celebrate 17 successful years of serving the community.”
