American Hustle: Good performances all round especially Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence (who is hilarious). Some very well written scenes. But overall a bit of an uneven plot. More style than anything else. Saving Mr. Banks: Quite heartwarming. Excellent performance by Emma Thompson as the author of Mary Poppins. The Wolf of Wall Street: A great film but very graphic. Leo is good as usual, Jonah Hill has stepped out as pretty decent actor and a memorable role by McConaughey. However, I would not advice people to watch this. A depiction of secular hedonism at its worst with no censorship. 12 Years a Slave: An uncompromising view of slavery in the American South, this film pulls no punches and is not comfortable to watch. But it is important to see it and know the cruelty of man (even those who claim to be Christian). Great performance by Chiwatel Ejiofor. And it is actually quite well filmed too.
